AM Radio 03:39
Spin the dial and it makes you feel all right May be oldies but they get you through the night Searching for a sweeter sound, Pulled from yesterday Back when melody was king, ask me and I'll say Gimme that AM radio All of the songs we used to know They'll give you everything you need Your satisfaction's guaranteed Happiness at the speed of sound Blast of static, then the music filters through Not made of numbers, just a sound that's sweet and true You can have your mp3s, Stick 'em in your ear Truth and some humanity's what I want to hear Gimme that AM radio All of the songs we used to know They'll give you everything you need Your satisfaction's guaranteed Happiness at the speed of sound Aaaah Gimme that AM radio All of the songs we used to know They'll give you everything you need Your satisfaction's guaranteed Happiness at the speed of sound

She was a beautiful debutante from outer space Yeah, you know she got it so good Men would drive a hundred miles just to see her face Uh huh, and you know that they should She can see them making plans for the rest of her life But she'll never settle for just being somebody's wife Having fun is what she's here for, mister, don't drag her down Cause she'll laugh when you hit ground She's something like glitter Beautiful and shiny One wrong turn she'll cut you up Something like glitter Cheap red wine in a gilded cup But she will have her way It's her game and we all get to play All fall down Wait it out Cause glitter fades There's only one thing in common that you both share Yeah, you both love her You may think that you can change her, you don't have a prayer Oh, you're a rank amateur Cause she's written all the rules and they change at her whim Smiling sweetly as she tears you limb from limb She's bringing her own pedestal, you better make room Or she'll push you out the way She's something like glitter Beautiful and shiny One wrong turn she'll cut you up Something like glitter Cheap red wine in a gilded cup But she will have her way It's her game and we all get to play All fall down Wait it out Cause glitter fades Yeah she's hard to hold A bird without a cage But all that glitters is not gold She's something like glitter Beautiful and shiny One wrong turn she'll cut you up Something like glitter Cheap red wine in a gilded cup But she will have her way It's her game and we all get to play All fall down Wait it out Cause glitter fades All fall down Wait it out Cause glitter fades

Everybody knows where she goes when her clothes seem to fall off on their own You can try to change, but don't you think it's strange that you're always left alone? It's a story you know all too well Same old song that sends you straight to Hello, goodbye me Champing at the bit, it's a hit When you know better than it and you do it anyway (aaah) Too afraid of change, and it's strange that your brains put you in the range of harm's way Suck it down, wear a frown, when the town seem to know before you do Laugh behind your back, It's a fact, Now on the attack, Search for clues It's a story you know all too well Same old song that sends you straight to Hello, goodbye me Champing at the bit, it's a hit When you know better than it and you do it anyway (aaah) Too afraid of change, and it's strange that your brains put you in the range of harm's way Ahhhhhh Writhe and stew, as it chews, parts of you til you're almost gone Time to run, now it's done, can't put back the gun once it's drawn It's a story you know all too well Same old song that sends you straight to Hello, goodbye me Champing at the bit, it's a hit When you know better than it and you do it anyway (aaah) Too afraid of change, and it's strange that your brains put you in the range of harm's way

Little Know-Nothing hides from his windows TV's his only world Surfs the computer, Plays with his Wii Drinks beer until he hurls The lights are on, But everyone's outside The curtains drawn, Against the ones from which you hide Little Miss No One, Friend to all Ends every night alone She's got her girls, She has her friends Until they all have flown It's dark in here, With no one left to light the room Embrace the fear, A happy home into a tomb If you try to change the world outside The world within you shrinks and dies It's a shame, and a lie When you won't even try Realize, how the time goes by Put them together, Nothing and no one Stir them and they react Oil and water, No chemistry True opposites detract The voices taunt, and razored doubts will fill the air You have to want, or you're not getting anywhere If you try to change the world outside The world within you shrinks and dies It's a shame, and a lie When you won't even try Realize, how the time goes by

I said I never think about those things, but I lied Other people never worry I guess they're the lucky guys I don't get it, if you do I wish you would clue me in Every time that I'm with you The fighting starts again Yeah, bring it on down To me now I can take it Yeah I'll be all right for now Don't break it to me gently Yeah I'll be just fine If you bring it on down There's a problem we must face, You can't seem to get along You vanished without a trace, One day here, the next you're gone I'd do anything for you, tell me what you want from me Anything you say I'll do, Please just say what I should be I've been looking too hard, To see where I'm going Cant see forests for the trees I've been searching too long, Haven't found the answer So come on and rescue me Yeah, bring it on down To me now I can take it Yeah I'll be all right for now Don't break it to me gently Yeah I'll be just fine If you bring it on down

Tamed 03:24
In the morning, Something sticky Hits my belly and wakes me up Don't be alarmed now, Not what you're thinking She was drinking honey from a plastic cup She's just the kind you want to meet your Mom I get antsy when she asks me where I'm from I don't Know what you do to me, I can't For the life of me Understand a single word she said I only know She keeps me fed Oh could it be? She's tamed me I have my own bed, and a blanket She never fakes it, at least that's what she said Sometimes she bathes me in the bathtub I always feel love When she rubs my head She's just the kind you want to meet your Mom I get antsy when she asks me where I'm from I don't Know what you do to me, I can't For the life of me Understand a single word she said I only know She keeps me fed Oh could it be? Oh could it be? I think I've never felt such peace I don't even mind the leash Oh could it be, Oh could it be? Oh could it be? She's tamed me

A little bit of me, A little bit of you That's what you get making one from two What do you do with the leftovers? Put them in a napkin, shove it in your purse Do you hide them in a box? Do you throw them all away? Do you put them on ice And wait for another day? Chasing rabbits in the (sha shaaa) Middle of the kitchen (sha shaa) Catching Z's until my legs are sore Coffee's brewing and the (sha shaa) Eggs are frying It's a pretty good day, More than I asked for Pretty good day, More than I asked for Pick out the bones, Trim off the fat Add a little spice and let the heat react What do you do with the leftovers? Main course is waiting, Have the good part first Do you give them to the dog? Do you share them with a friend? Or ignore the smell of things going bad Til the bitter end? It's a subtle combi- Nation of the juices Blend and stir and hope for something more Chasing rabbits in the Middle of the kitchen Pretty good day, More than I asked for Pretty good day, More than I asked for Do you ever really wonder? Did you ever really care About the life before I found you? Do I exist when I'm not around you?

Better? 03:05
Shoot the poison in Kill to cure's the order of the day Let the fun begin A little bit of death can ease the way Scouring the veins Clawing all the way to make it well Is it worth the pain? Road to normals always paved with hell Do you see, A running theme that goes through all that went before? Tragedy is always seen instead of getting better Pump the venom in, let it begin If it makes you better Fill the poison pen and scratch the lines A time bomb in a letter All the things you had, denied in flame How soon they forget Kill half of what you are If it makes you better Dangerous appetites, Feed the growing mouth that's never full Never sleep at night Shoot the moon and feel the lunar pull Covering your eyes Above your head the sheep are gathering wool Halo made of lies Ugly comes from something beautiful Do you see, A running theme that goes through all that went before? Tragedy is always seen instead of getting better Pump the venom in, let it begin If it makes you better Fill the poison pen and scratch the lines A time bomb in a letter All the things you had, denied in flame How soon they forget Kill half of what you are If it makes you better Pump the venom in, let it begin If it makes you better Fill the poison pen and scratch the lines A time bomb in a letter All the things you had, denied in flame How soon they forget Kill half of what you are The brightest fallen star Collect it in a jar If it makes you better

Drive Away 03:54
Things you said made it hard to let you know I got mad, Was too afraid to let it show Running away from commitments and the past If I stay, this saboteur won't let it last Memories slowly fade Drive away, Drive away What's the point in waiting 'til the end You're happy now, then it all blows up again Eventually, nothing's quite worth what you gave You let your guard down, and then you get betrayed Memories slowly fade Drive away, Drive away Saw your face today, You didn't even smile Flagged you down by the side of the road And asked if you could talk a while I broke down and asked could we reclaim the past You grinned from ear to ear...and then you hit the gas Memories slowly fade Drive away, Drive away

Light Of Day 02:39
So now our story ends, I'll think about you now and then And dream of all the time that slipped away Without you by my side I cannot run I cannot hide I Cannot think of anything to say I'll never, I'll never, I'll never See the light of day I'll never, I'll never, I'll never See the light of day I waited for so long to find someone to call my own and You just left my heart against the ground There is no turning back from your full-frontal sneak-attack Don't look for me 'cause i won't be around I'll never, I'll never, I'll never See the light of day I'll never, I'll never, I'll never See the light of day You'll never see my face again, You won't miss me so don't pretend I'll never, I'll never, I'll never See the light of day I'll never, I'll never, I'll never See the light of day

Babble 03:31
I'm not drunk enough, I'm not drunk enough I'll never be drunk enough to listen to you You keep babbling, talking, prattling Million words a second and not one getting through And every single day it's the same old story You do all the work, they get all the glory Every little word that you say's so boring Slides right off my ears There's no substance in all those syllables It takes all my effort just to get a word in It's a waterfall, won't sink in at all Words are getting thicker & my patience grows thin And every single day it's the same old story You do all the work, they get all the glory Every little word that you say's so boring Slides right off my ears What the world needs now is a little bit of silence Those empty words gonna push it into violence You get one good shot, then it's over, yeah it's over and gone The babble it goes on and on Overpowering, Words are towering Blocking out the sun with the words that you spew Build it higher, Stoke the brushfire One day Babel's tower's gonna fall right on you And every single night as you lie in bed you're Talking in your sleep til I'm seeing red Does it help drown out the thoughts in your head? It's planting some in mine... What the world needs now is a little bit of silence Those empty words gonna push it into violence You get one good shot, then it's over, yeah over and gone The babble it goes on and on When a thought goes through your head (Blah blah blah blah) It will slide right off your tongue (Blah blah blah blah) Those are moments that I dread (Blah blah blah) Could you close the gates, of your pearly whites Before I come unstrung? And every single day it's the same old story You do all the work, they get all the glory Every little word that you say's so boring Slides right off my ears What the world needs now is a little bit of silence Those empty words gonna push it into violence You get one good shot, then it's over, yeah over and gone The babble it goes on and on
